This classic round sterling silver pendant is set with Kemnay granite from Scotland. It is predominantly light grey and cream with peachy tones in colour. The granite can take a lovely high polish, bringing out the gorgeous natural patterns which make it look so wonderful in our jewellery. This pendant is sold with a chain similar to the one shown here.
Kemnay is a village 16 miles west of Aberdeen. The quarry began production of the muscovite-biotite granite in the mid-19th century producing building stone, setts and kerbs, with the best granite reserved for polished monumental work. You can see Kemnay granite in the Queen Victoria Memorial in London, the Forth Railway Bridge near Edinburgh and, more recently, as cladding for the new Scottish Parliament in Edinburgh itself.
Our Kemnay jewellery gives you the opportunity to wear a wee piece of Scotland forever!
All Orlap jewellery will come in a presentation box, as seen, to make a wonderful gift for yourself or someone you love.
